Technical fleece made of Octa cpcp knitted and fleece. By using Octa cpcp, it is a middle layer with very high breathability. I just said that the heat retention is enough for one piece, but by combining a shell jacket, it is quite warm when the ventilation is suppressed.

Basically, it is a middle layer, but this time I tried to test whether it can be used in the base layer in winter. First, I would like to talk about the advantages and disadvantages.

○Benefits
・With high breathability, you can walk comfortably without overheating.
・If you wear the shell from above, it will be quite warm. If you use it in low mountains, it may reduce the wear to bring one piece.
・Even if you sweat, it absorbs well. Quick drying is also pretty good. In particular, the mesh on the outer surface is quite dry.

○Demerit
・Perhaps it is too breathable in the alpine forest zone, so layering is essential. It's cold.
・Because the fabric is thin, depending on the compatibility of Zac, the fabric will come to either side. Also, if you do not use a thumbhole, the fabric will be twisted.
・Some people are concerned about the crunchy of hair. Is it possible to solve it with an inner layer?

The following usage reports

Start Otsuki Station and head to Hatakura Mountain Trailhead. It is strange that the air feels cold at the beginning of walking, but the body is warm. However, about 10 minutes after I started walking, I felt the torsion of the sleeves and the proximity of the fabric, and passed my finger through the thumbhole that was not passed. Both were improved when passed through, but basically it seems that the use of thumbholes is assumed. In addition, there was a little bit of cluttering on the back. It was a level that I didn't mind personally, but it may be uncomfortable for some people. This time it was on Millet's drynamic Mesh, but it seems that the dry layer of the fine track will be reduced.

After that, you will start climbing from the Hatakura climbing entrance, but when you start climbing, it will be hot. In that case, the permeability of the material will be activated. You can walk comfortably without steaming. In addition, the sweat processing capacity is high, especially the mesh on the outer surface will dry quickly. After I wiped my sweat with my sleeves, it was dry in about 10 minutes. However, as usual, I feel a little bit of fabric.

We arrive at the summit of Mt. Iwadono and take a break at the observatory. At this time, I was wearing a shell from above, but this will reduce the permeability of the material and demonstrate heat retention. I didn't feel cool until I came here, and I felt the warmth. I realize the high versatility of Octa cpcp.

From here, we will go to the chain and aim to drop children. It's hot when wearing a shell, so it's also a base layer. Even if you sweat, the raised fabric inside will help you escape sweat well. It is not the feeling of letting go to the mesh on the front and drying sweat, but the raised lining is sweating and drying. Therefore, if the amount of sweat increases too much, it seems that water will not be able to keep it. In winter, there will be no problem.

There was no particular problem in the chain field, but since the fabric itself does not stretch, it may be difficult to use when climbing. Also, since the strength is not high, I think it will be broken if you hook it. There is no such scene in regular climbing, so it is not a problem, but be careful of branches.

I went down and got on the train. At that point, the sweat was already dry, and I didn’t feel uncomfortable with sweat all day. The high performance is more than expected, and there is no doubt that the frequency of use will increase in the future. 1 Army in.

○It can be used as a base layer. I just need some ingenuity. Since there is a crew neck type, we recommend this base layer. Because of its sharp performance as a base layer, it is basically a middle layer.

First of all, there is no problem using it as a thick base layer, but some people seem to be worried about chikuchiku. Also, the proximity and torsion of the fabric are quite concerned as a base layer. If you pass through the thumbhole, the sleeves will be no problem, and the waist belt can reduce leaning. However, if the waist belt such as UL Zac is thin, I think it will come off.

There is no problem with ventilation and heat retention. It is good for sweat absorption and quick drying, light weight and performance are quite high. This time it was a base layer operation, but if you use a middle layer, if you have a lot of momentum, I think you will have two choices with Paula Tech Alpha Direct. The frequency of use will also be quite high.

If it is used as a base layer, it seems that the crew neck type is easier to use than the full zip. Because there is a zipper, I am worried that it will come further, so if you are a crew neck, you don't have to worry about it. Let's keep warm around the neck with a neck gaiter.

It's a size feel, but I think it will change depending on whether you use it as a base layer or a middle layer. If I'm 173cm / 67kg, I think I'll choose M for base and L for middle. There are times when the hands are slightly longer, but if you put your finger in the thumbhole, the length is just bare. I hope you can try on this area at the store and choose it.
